Kinzel and Hyde
Biography
Portland act Kinzel & Hyde is
“a treat for the senses” (Salem Statesman
Journal) and will take you
“on a musical tour that will blow you away!” (The
Oregonian). Whether playing as an acoustic duo, or an
electric four-piece band, this act delivers with talent, humor, and variety.
Hailed as “Oregon’s answer to (Paul)
Rishell & (Annie) Raines” (Le Monde au Blues, Belgium 1999)
Kinzel & Hyde “move
effortlessly between Cajun-spiced numbers on button accordion and great slide or
harmonica driven traditional Blues” (Hohner Harmonica’s “Easy Reeding”2001).
Stu Kinzel is a NW Resophonic icon,
and LynnAnn Hyde is one of a few women worldwide to receive artist endorsement
from Hohner Harmonicas and Baldoni Accordions.
The pair appear on six recent NW
compilation discs, have produced and released four of their own recordings (including
the landmark studio recording “Oklahoma Credit Card”
release 6-02) and are multi-award winning musicians, composers and entertainers.

Known for their community

music industry, Kinzel has opened for and played with and opened fo some of the

LynnAnn Hyde
harmonica, Cajun accordion, vocals
After only five years
of playing harmonica, Hyde was honored with prestigious
artist endorsements from Hohner Harmonicas. She has performed at festivals and
events from Memphis to Vancouver, BC

Sam “the Silk”
Schlosser Bass
Sam has played with club acts for over 20
years in the Blues & R&B circuit along the E Coast including NYC, Jersey,
Maryland & DC. His most recent endeavor was with the Federal Hill Boys, a well
known Americana band.
John DiMartino
Drums
A graduate of the US Naval School of
Music, Mr. DiMartino has over 45 years of professional stage and
recording experience. John worked professional in Nashville for many years as
staff musician at the Grand Ole
Opry and Opryland USA, and performing with the renowned Nashville Cats.
Since moving to Portland John has played
with notable groups such as Paul Delay, Robbie Laws, Kinzel and Hyde, and Arthur
(Fresh Air) Moore.
